John’s extensive media talents include hosting his own Wellington regional Food and Wine television show for two years (Man About Town), his own radio show for 15 years, working as a film critic, regularly visiting the Cannes Film Festival, amongst others. John spent seven years as a wine writer for various magazines and newspapers as well as a freelance lifestyle writer. John has written two screenplays (New Zealand Love Story and Recipe for Death) and three books, one on movies (WATCH THIS MOVIE); How to gate crash parties at The Cannes Film Festival (CANNES CONFIDENTIAL); and a ski season cooking in Chamonix in The French Alps (ITS ALL PART OF THE ALPINE EXPERIENCE). A passionate traveller, he has visited close to 80 countries, is a self-confessed history geek and an avid foodie.
